Celebrating Our 52nd Year

Kids Day was started in 1968 by Mike and Ann Rich, Back then, it was an opportunity for children to see a working farm, skip rocks in the pond, pick pumpkins, gourds and Indian corn then stop by the store and grab some candy a caramel apple and cider.  We’ve continued to grow and are now able to present the month-long celebration that you know today. We are always working at providing you with new attractions and events each season. So, take your time and enjoy all that we have to offer!

Today, Rich Farms has one of the largest wholesale and retail nurseries in the tri-state area. The field production of pine and deciduous trees and container lots of shrubs and perennials continues to expand. Wholesale yards north and south of the nursery are being planned. Design and landscaping offices are now headquartered at the nursery for your convenience. In the fall, over an acre of pumpkins are resupplied daily from the fields for selection at the nursery and fresh cut, rooted Christmas trees are available for sale in December.

Every fall, Fright Farm fans continue to visit and participate in the selected production chosen for the season. The tour takes over an hour and includes a one mile haunted hayride, a walk through the house and grounds then through a large maze on the trip back to the Fest-Evil Midway. Here, fans can enjoy delicious food and drinks, listen to live entertainment and warm up around a bonfire. The event opens in September and remains open the entire month of October. VIP accomodations are available in their own private area with a bonfire and scheduled attraction time.

Rich’s pumpkin farm is visited by thousands of children and their families each October. The farm includes a barnyard, with animals, a corn maze, and a large play area. Children can pick their pumpkin from the patch and head over to the barn to bring out their creative side to decorate. Adults and children can take a one mile hayride along the farm trail to enjoy the fall and Halloween decorations. While you are here during the weekends, we have yummy treats and refreshments to enjoy.

Our rental facilities are perfect for birthday parties to weddings. These include two large, open-air pavillions and a beautifully finished, enclosed barn. Whether large or small, we can accommodate your secial event.

The Nature Park is also available for rental with a large picnic area. Everyone can enjoy a walk through the woods as well as the large play area. The park includes a fishing pond, with our staff assisting the children. The park is both educational and fun., and will be open to groups all year with general admission this summer.
